Every girl wishes for long, healthy, shiny, soft hair which has become a dream now, as we get everything proceed and chemicals based which have no effective results and only do temporary solutions. Also, we don’t have much time to take care of ourselves, even spending a lot of money and time on spa or hair treatments don’t provide desired results. A natural way can only solve this problem permanently which is not only effective but also cost friendly.

Did anyone ever smashed an egg on your hair?…. Omg!! This sounds so messy…. right? But did you actually felt good about your hair after that? Of course, though it was messy at that time after wash it made our hair shiny, soft and healthy, yes right these all ingredients are actually good for your hair. Like our body needs vitamins and nutrition, like-wise our hair also need them. So let me share some good useful hair mask recipes which will do miracles to your hair.


  1. Egg hair mask

Proteins are essential for our hair this makes them stronger, our hair is also a composition of the protein. So, this wonderful mask will not only make your hair shiny but it will also make them strong and it will increase their growth. To make this mask you will need 1 egg if you have oily hair use only white part of the egg, for dry hair use only yellow part and if your hair is neutral/normal use the whole egg on your mask (for long hair you will need 2 eggs), add 1 tablespoon of olive oil or coconut oil, 1 tablespoon plain curd and 1 tablespoon milk to it.

Mix everything together so that there are no lumps and massage this mask into your scalp. Keep this mask in your hair for about 15-20 min and wash it off with cold or lukewarm water. This hair mask is very messy so you can apply it is your bathroom or cover your hair with a shower cap after applying.


  1. Banana mask

Another good source of protein is bananas it is full of vitamins and potassium which is very good for our hair. It will also work as a moisturizer for your hair. For making this mask you will need 1-2 overripe banana, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon coconut oil. Mash banana in a clean bowl and add all other ingredients and mix everything well. Massage this mixture into your scalp and keep it for 15 mins wash it off with lukewarm water, now check whether the mixture is still in your hair or not by running fingers in your hair and if you find and particles then wash your hair again. Banana will make your hair smooth and prevent them from breakage and split ends.


  1. Coconut oil hair mask

This oil is best for dull, dry and damaged hair, coconut contains saturated fats, vitamin-E, vitamin-D and iron which will make your hair shiny, thick and strong. This mask will keep your hair and scalp well hydrated and soft. For making this hair mask take a clean bowl add 2 tablespoon coconut oil, 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon castor oil you can vary portion according to your hair length and thickness. Massage this hair mask into your scalp and hair and leave it for 20-30 min you can also tie your hair in a bun and wrap in a shower cap, for more effective result apply this mask at night and leave it overnight and in the morning wash it off with your favorite shampoo. It will make your hair soft and moisturize so you won’t need conditioner.


  1. Henna hair mask

Mehndi or Henna is commonly used for coloring grey hair, but if henna is mixed with other ingredients it does miracles to dull, dry and damaged hair. Henna help to grow your hair make them moisturize and strong. Its antibacterial properties protect your hair from dandruff and scalp itching. For making this hair mask add ½ cup henna either packed or homemade henna powder.

I would suggest homemade henna which is made from henna leafs and crushes them on a stone grinder or an electronic grinder ( add water according to necessity) , now add green tea, 1 tablespoon olive oil, ½ cup curd, ½ lemon, 1 egg (for oily hair use white part, for dry hair use yellow part and for natural hair use whole egg). Mix everything well so that there are no lumps.

You can add water if consistency is too thick; we would be requiring a paste-like consistency not so flowy and not so thick. Now apply this hair mask mix to your scalp and hair and leave it for 45- 60 min and wash it off this cold or lukewarm water. Don’t wash your hair with shampoo at least for one day. Next day you can apply shampoo and conditioner.



  • Before every wash does apply oil to your scalp and hair, this will make your hair healthy, strong and shiny.
  • Add a right amount of water to your daily life. Water is a solution to all your problems.
  • If you have dandruff problem apply lemon on your scalp or add your mask and oil. This will protect your hair from bacteria and dandruff.
  • Apply these masks twice in a week for more effective results.
  • For better results wash your hair a day after you apply this mask. That will help your hair to observe all those nutrition from these ingredients.
